Text to music examples
Each track came from the text shown with it. Wave 5.5 wrote and sang the vocal songs from the description alone, lyrics included; MiniMax Music 2.6 made the instrumentals. Pick one, send its prompt to the composer and change a word or two.

“Warm indie-folk song with a close female vocal, fingerpicked guitar, soft upright piano and brushed drums, about 92 BPM, quiet verses that open into a wider chorus, no heavy drums”
Pick a track to hear it and see the prompt behind it.
One prompt, three models
We sent one prompt and one seed to three instrumental models. Play them back to back to hear how each model reads the same text.

“Cinematic synthwave instrumental, analog arpeggiator, gated drums, warm synth bass, wide neon pads, heroic restrained final lift, 112 BPM, no vocals”
Outputs as generated. Lyria picked its own length; Stable Audio and MusicGen were set to 30 seconds.
Prompt writing
One or two sentences is enough. Lead with the sound you care about most, then add only what a listener would hear. This prompt made “Come Sit With Me” above.
“Warm indie-folk song1 with a close female vocal4, fingerpicked guitar, soft upright piano and brushed drums2, about 92 BPM, quiet verses that open into a wider chorus3, no heavy drums4”
How it works
No instruments, no music theory and no editing software.
Type the genre, mood, instruments and tempo in plain words. Turn on Instrumental if you want no vocals.
Wave makes 2 songs per run and writes the lyrics from your description. Lyria 3 Pro, Stable Audio and MusicGen make instrumentals.
Play the takes and keep the one you like. Paid plans add downloads, extending and remixing.

FAQ
Straight answers about prompts, vocals, length, models and rights.
Text to music is AI music generation from a written description. You type what the track should sound like (genre, mood, tempo, instruments, vocals) and the model generates new audio that follows it. MusicWave runs several text to music models from one composer.
Yes, to start. New accounts get 10 free credits, enough for one Wave run, which makes 2 songs. Paid plans add monthly credits, every model and song downloads.
Yes. A description is enough: lyrics are written from your text and sung in the style you describe. The three vocal examples above were made this way. If you already have words, paste them in the Own lyrics tab instead.
Switch on Instrumental before you create, or pick an instrumental model such as Lyria 3 Pro, Stable Audio 2.5 or MusicGen. Writing “no vocals” in the prompt helps too.
It depends on the model. Wave makes full songs, up to 8 minutes on Wave 4.5-all and newer. ElevenLabs Music runs 10–120 seconds, Stable Audio 15–190 seconds and MusicGen 8–30 seconds.
One or two sentences: the genre and mood first, then two to four instruments, a tempo or BPM, and whether you want vocals. Leave out anything a listener wouldn't hear.
For songs with vocals, start with Wave: one run gives you 2 takes to choose from. For instrumentals, play the comparison above. Lyria 3 Pro made two- to three-minute pieces from our prompts, while Stable Audio and MusicGen suit set lengths and short clips.
Songs made on the free plan are for personal, non-commercial use. Commercial use depends on your paid plan (the pricing table shows which plans include the commercial license), the model's terms and your rights in any lyrics or audio you add.
Text to music starts from a description of the sound. Lyrics to song starts from words you wrote and sets them to music. Both work in the same composer: use the Own lyrics tab, or open the Lyrics to Song page for a guide.
