| Largo | 40–60 | Very slow and broad |
| Adagio | 66–76 | Slow and relaxed |
| Andante | 76–108 | A walking pace |
| Moderato | 108–120 | Moderate |
| Allegro | 120–156 | Fast and bright |
| Vivace | 156–176 | Lively |
| Presto | 168–200 | Very fast |

FAQ
Metronome questions
What tempo should I practise at?
Start at a speed where you can play the part cleanly, often 20 to 30 BPM below your goal. Once it feels easy, go up about 5 BPM, or turn on the speed trainer to do it for you.
What are clicks per beat?
Extra clicks between the main beats. Two clicks per beat counts eighth notes, three counts triplets and four counts sixteenth notes. The main beat stays louder.
What does 6/8 mean?
Six beats per bar, felt as two groups of three. The metronome stresses beat one and clicks six times per bar.
How do I find the BPM of a song?
Press Tap tempo in time with the beat for a few bars. Or drop the file into the BPM & key finder to measure it.
Is it free, and does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers, with no sign-up. Keep the screen on while you practise, because some phones pause sound when they lock.
